Llano, CA (January 16, 2026) – A woman killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning on State Route 138 in Llano has been identified as E. Tsatinyan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred just before noon on January 14, along Pearblossom Hwy west of 195th St E. CHP investigators reported that a 2012 Chevrolet traveling westbound on SR-138 crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with an eastbound 2015 Peterbilt semi-truck hauling two gravel-filled trailers.
The impact forced the big rig and its trailers into the westbound lanes, where they then struck a 2026 Range Rover. Tsatinyan, a passenger in the Range Rover, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
In addition to the fatality, a woman and a girl riding in the Chevrolet sustained injuries and were airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Another individual involved in the crash was transported by ground ambulance. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
The crash caused extended closures in both directions as investigators worked to document the scene and clear debris. The California Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation to determine what caused the Chevrolet to veer into oncoming traffic.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of E. Tsatinyan and hope for a swift recovery for those injured.
