Long Beach, CA (February 1, 2026) – An accident involving several bicyclists occurred Friday morning beneath the Willow Street Bridge along the Los Angeles River bike path, leaving multiple individuals injured.
Responding to reports just before 8:00 AM on January 30, emergency crews from Long Beach Police and medical units arrived at the east side of the riverbed under the bridge, where several cyclists had gone down. According to dispatch audio, the riders reportedly struck an object on the path, causing a serious multi-cyclist crash.
Paramedics treated five injured cyclists at the scene. One individual was reportedly unconscious for approximately five minutes but had regained consciousness and was breathing by the time emergency medical personnel arrived.
