Los Angeles, CA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders from Los Angeles Fire and Rescue responded swiftly to a hit-and-run collision Friday night that left a pedestrian injured in the Bunker Hill area of Downtown Los Angeles.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:18 p.m. on January 30 at 255 S Grand Ave. According to early reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene following the impact. Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle and are currently working to gather surveillance footage from nearby buildings and intersections.
Medics and fire crews worked to assist the injured pedestrian, providing urgent care at the scene before transporting the individual to a nearby medical facility. The nature and extent of the injuries sustained have not been disclosed at this time. The roadway was partially blocked as emergency teams attended to the scene and launched an initial investigation.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. They are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact local law enforcement.
