Lynn, MA (January 19, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed early on Monday morning after being struck by a tractor-trailer on the Lynnway near the intersection with Commercial St, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The fatal incident occurred around 6:18 a.m., prompting a response from state troopers, Lynn Police, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Upon arrival, officials confirmed that the pedestrian had died at the scene as a result of the collision.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, and the name is not expected to be made public on Monday. Investigators remained at the location for several hours, collecting evidence and reconstructing the sequence of events.
Due to the severity of the crash, the northbound and southbound left lanes of the Lynnway were closed for part of the morning, causing delays for commuters.
