Why Leaving the Scene After a Crash Complicates Investigations
When a driver leaves the scene of a crash, it can significantly delay emergency response efforts and make it harder for investigators to determine exactly what happened. Even in minor injury crashes, immediate reporting helps ensure that all involved parties receive proper medical evaluation.
Rollover crashes on highways like I-95 often require careful reconstruction by investigators due to high speeds and limited witness perspectives. Factors such as road conditions, vehicle speed, and driver behavior all need to be examined to understand the sequence of events.
Staying at the scene allows authorities to gather accurate information and provide timely assistance. Leaving prematurely can lead to additional legal consequences and complicate both medical and investigative outcomes.
