Faribault, MN (July 11, 2026) – A crash involving two vehicles was reported on the northbound Interstate 35 ramp to Highway 21 in Faribault on Thursday afternoon, July 9, resulting in injuries to one driver. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. in Rice County.
According to official reports, a Chevrolet Impala and a Volkswagen Atlas were both traveling north on Interstate 35 when they collided just before the Highway 21 exit, according to the incident report. The Impala driver, 24-year-old Jacob Ossiel Palomo Wilfredo of Owatonna, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Allina Hospital.
The Volkswagen Atlas driver, 59-year-old Jeffrey Frank Spadaro of Marion, Iowa, was not injured. Three passengers in the Volkswagen, including Thomas Alan Giorgi, 55, of Roseville, and Robert James Juhl, 58, of Lino Lakes, were also not hurt. We are thinking of those injured.
