Marshfield, MA (January 12, 2026) – A head-on crash involving two vehicles left both drivers seriously injured on Sunday night on Plain St in Marshfield, according to local emergency crews.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m., prompting a significant response from Marshfield Fire and Rescue. Authorities say one of the vehicles overturned during the crash, though the person inside was able to exit the vehicle without assistance. The occupant of the second car, however, had to be extricated by firefighters using the jaws of life.
Both individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite the severity of their injuries, officials reported that both victims are expected to recover.
The collision resulted in the temporary closure of a portion of Plain St as crews worked to secure the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
