What Often Happens After a Major Intersection Crash?
Large crashes at busy intersections can involve multiple vehicles and several people. When this occurs, traffic may be stopped in all directions to allow emergency crews to reach those hurt and secure the area.
Medical teams often assess everyone involved, even if injuries appear minor at first. Some people may choose not to go to the hospital after being evaluated.
Investigators usually review vehicle positions, impact damage, and traffic signal timing. Intersections with heavy traffic flow can present added risks when drivers misjudge signals, speed, or spacing between vehicles.
