Miami, FL (January 9, 2026) – A Miami police officer was hospitalized following a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning near NW 12th Ave. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. and triggered a trauma alert, leading to a rapid response from Rescue 72 and other emergency units.
According to dispatch information, the officer was reportedly cut off by another vehicle, causing him to lose control and be thrown from the motorcycle. He sustained trauma-related injuries but was conscious and in stable condition when transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The crash scene was secured by fellow officers while investigators worked to determine the full circumstances of the incident. The vehicle that allegedly caused the collision was not publicly identified, and it remains unclear whether charges or citations will follow.
