Walker, MI (May 23, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash led to the injury of a 37-year-old Kentwood man on Thursday morning, May 21, following a collision involving a minivan and a semi-truck at Alpine Avenue Northwest and North Center Drive Northwest in Walker.
Police said the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. when the minivan was turning left onto eastbound North Center Drive. A semi-truck traveling northbound on Alpine Avenue then struck the minivan after it failed to yield the right of way.
The minivan driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The semi-truck driver, a 58-year-old man from Detroit, was not hurt in the crash.
Investigators are continuing to examine how the crash unfolded at the intersection. We are thinking of the injured driver and hoping he recovers fully.
