San Diego, CA (July 24, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash resulting in minor injuries was reported on Wednesday night, July 22, on southbound I-5 near the I-805 interchange in San Diego.
The collision was reported at approximately 10:36 p.m. Initial dispatch information indicated two vehicles were involved. A black Honda Accord and a black Kia sedan were identified, with the Kia overturning and coming to rest on its side while blocking the right lane. A passing driver stopped and reported attempting to help the person inside the overturned vehicle.
The crash remained under investigation overnight and was later classified as a minor injury collision. Tow services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and traffic was affected while crews worked to clear the roadway. The number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released. The cause of the collision remains under investigation as additional details are gathered.
