Minot, ND (May 18, 2026) – A teen passenger lost their life, and several others were injured following a two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening at the intersection of Highway 2 and 13th Street SE, according to the North Dakota State Patrol.
Authorities reported that the collision occurred around 5:32 p.m. when a 2022 Mini Cooper Countryman traveling westbound on Highway 2 collided with a 2012 Ford Fusion traveling northbound on 13th Street SE. Both vehicles came to rest in the northwest portion of the intersection following the impact.
The driver and passenger inside the Mini Cooper sustained serious injuries and were transported to Trinity Hospital. Officials confirmed that the passenger later died from injuries sustained in the crash. In the Ford Fusion, the driver suffered minor injuries, while one passenger sustained serious injuries. Both were also transported to Trinity Hospital for treatment. A third occupant in the Ford Fusion was reportedly uninjured. Authorities stated that the names of the teens involved will not be released.
