What Factors Are Often Reviewed After Multi-Vehicle Crashes
In crashes involving multiple vehicles, investigators typically examine speed, vehicle positions, and roadway conditions to understand how the incident occurred. Ejection from a vehicle can significantly increase the severity of injuries.
Investigators also review witness statements, traffic patterns, and any potential contributing behaviors such as sudden lane changes or speeding. Damage to vehicles provides important clues about impact points and force distribution.
Medical reports and vehicle data, such as airbag deployment and braking activity, are often used to reconstruct the sequence of events. These factors help clarify how injuries and fatalities occurred in complex, high-speed collisions.
