Motorcycle Crashes in Georgia
Motorcycle crashes can result in severe injuries because riders have less physical protection than occupants of passenger vehicles. Collisions at intersections can occur when vehicles turn across the path of approaching motorcycles or when drivers fail to yield the right of way.
Georgia law generally requires drivers to exercise reasonable care and follow traffic-control rules when turning or entering an intersection. Investigators may examine vehicle positions, roadway evidence, witness accounts, and other available information when determining how a crash occurred.
People injured in motorcycle crashes may face medical expenses, lost income, and other losses. The circumstances of each case determine whether an injured person may have grounds for a personal injury claim.
