Bladen County, NC (July 8, 2026) – A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a Toyota was reported on Monday afternoon at NC-87 and Kennedy Store Road in Bladen County.
Emergency units responded shortly after 5 p.m. on July 6. Officials said the motorcyclist was fleeing Columbus County Sheriff’s Office deputies when the collision occurred at the intersection. The motorcyclist was killed, while the Toyota driver was transported to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The reason the motorcyclist was fleeing deputies has not been released. The motorcyclist’s identity also remains unavailable.
