Buckman Springs, CA (July 14, 2026) – A motorcycle rider was hurt in a two-vehicle collision on westbound State Route 94 just west of Buckman Springs Road on July 12, resulting in a lengthy highway closure.
Initial reports indicated the crash involved a black Ford F-150 pickup truck and a motorcycle around 9:30 a.m. The vehicles blocked westbound traffic, prompting emergency units to close both lanes while assisting those involved.
Radio traffic later indicated the motorcycle rider was injured, and a flatbed tow truck was requested for one of the vehicles. Investigators also temporarily canceled an earlier tow request while determining whether an evidence tow would be needed. Westbound SR-94 remained closed for an undetermined period while crews completed measurements, and eastbound motorists were directed to detour via Buckman Springs Road, Sheridan Road, and Forest Gate Road.
The extent of the rider’s injuries had not been released at the time of publication.
The cause of the collision remains under review, and additional information is expected as the investigation continues.
