Marlborough, CT (July 29, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a pickup truck on Route 66 at Saner Rd in Marlborough on Monday night, July 27. The crash occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m.
According to investigators, 39-year-old John Russell Forbes IV of East Hampton was riding a motorcycle eastbound behind a Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado was making a left turn onto Saner Rd when Forbes attempted to pass on the left and struck the truck.
Forbes lost control of the motorcycle after the collision and fell onto the roadway. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
