What Can Contribute to Motorcycle Crashes?
Motorcycle crashes can involve factors such as traffic conditions, driver awareness, roadway conditions, and visibility. Riders have less protection than occupants of passenger vehicles, which can increase the risk of serious injuries in a collision.
Safety practices such as wearing protective gear, following traffic rules, and staying alert around other vehicles can help reduce crash risks. Drivers of all vehicles can also help improve roadway safety by carefully checking for motorcycles and allowing enough space while traveling.
