What Happens When Someone Is Trapped in a Vehicle After a Crash in Delaware?
When a crash results in entrapment, rescue teams use specialized tools to remove doors, roofs, or other parts of a vehicle so that the person inside can be safely reached. The process requires careful coordination between medical personnel and rescue crews working at the same time. Every minute matters when injuries may be serious.
In Delaware, crashes involving entrapment typically bring multiple units to the scene, including fire companies trained in vehicle extrication and paramedics who begin medical treatment while the rescue is still underway. The severity of injuries in these situations can range widely, depending on how the crash occurred and how long the person was trapped. Suspected internal injuries, like those reported in this crash, often require immediate hospital evaluation even when outward signs are limited.
