New Kensington, PA (February 1, 2026) – Two individuals were hospitalized following a serious house fire that broke out overnight in the city of New Kensington, located in Westmoreland County.
According to county dispatchers, emergency crews responded to the scene on Oates Blvd shortly after midnight. Firefighters arriving on scene found the structure actively burning and began rescue operations while working to bring the flames under control.
During the response, two occupants were successfully rescued from the home and transported to West Penn Hospital for treatment. Their current conditions and the nature of their injuries have not yet been confirmed by officials.
The fire caused visible and significant damage to the residence, though it has not yet been determined whether the structure is a total loss. Fire officials have not released the cause of the blaze, and an investigation is ongoing.
