What Details Are Often Examined After a Two-Vehicle Crash at an Intersection?
After a crash at an intersection, several factors are usually reviewed to better understand how it happened. These include the position of each vehicle, traffic flow, and whether any driver failed to yield or stop as required.
Vehicle damage can also provide clues about the speed and angle of impact. Skid marks, debris, and the final resting positions of the vehicles are often noted to help reconstruct the sequence of events.
Road conditions at the time of the crash may also be considered. Wet pavement, visibility issues, or obstructions near the intersection can affect how drivers react in those moments.
In some cases, nearby structures or objects struck during the crash may also help show how far a vehicle traveled after impact.
