North Platte, NE (February 20, 2026) – Two people lost their lives following a serious crash on Thursday on Hwy 83 in Lincoln County. The Nebraska State Patrol confirmed on Friday that both individuals involved in the collision succumbed to their injuries.
According to authorities, the crash occurred along Hwy 83 under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders were called to the scene after reports of a major collision involving multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, crews found heavily damaged vehicles and began rendering aid.
