Toledo, OH (July 5, 2026) – One person was killed, and two others were critically injured after a head-on collision on Airport Highway just East of South Reynolds Road in south Toledo. The incident reportedly happened around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
According to the Toledo police, a 22-year-old driver was traveling westbound when the vehicle crossed left of center and struck an eastbound car head-on in the right curb lane. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 43-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old passenger in the eastbound vehicle was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. The 22-year-old driver who crossed the center line was also hospitalized with critical injuries. Authorities have not released the names of those involved pending family notification.
