Canterbury, CT (July 16, 2026) – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt on Wednesday evening, July 15, following a crash in the area of 441 S Canterbury Rd.
The motorcycle accident was reported at approximately 7:00 p.m. Emergency units found the rider with an apparent leg fracture and applied a tourniquet while providing medical care at the scene.
A Lifestar helicopter was initially requested but was later canceled. The rider was taken by an advanced life support ambulance to Backus Hospital for further treatment. No additional information about the motorcyclist or the circumstances surrounding the crash was immediately available. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
