Hamden, CT (July 16, 2026) – A pedestrian was hurt on Tuesday morning, July 14, after being struck by a vehicle on Whitney Ave near Dixwell Ave in Hamden.
Emergency units arrived at the scene and provided medical care before the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital. The person’s injuries were reported to be stable.
The driver remained at the scene following the crash. Whitney Ave was closed during the investigation and reopened at approximately 12 p.m. No additional details about those involved were immediately released, but the circumstances surrounding the crash continue to be examined.
