Greenville County, SC (July 4, 2026) – One person died following a morning head-on crash on Thursday morning, July 2, on Lily Street in Greenville County. Deputies responded to reports of the crash around 8:30 a.m. after reports of a two-vehicle collision.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2003 Ford F-150 was traveling south on Lily Street when it was struck head-on by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. Investigators said the Hyundai was attempting to evade law enforcement at the time of the crash. The driver of the Ford was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased. More details will be released as they become available.
