Bakersfield, CA (July 18, 2026) – A hit-and-run involving at least one person was reported on Saturday morning on southbound State Route 99 just south of Kimberlina Road in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log, the call was received shortly before 7:50 a.m. The vehicle involved was described as a white work truck with company markings that pulled onto the right shoulder. The reporting party requested medical assistance, and fire personnel were dispatched to the roadway.
The suspected vehicle was described as a blue Dodge Caravan with a California license plate 5GWS008. Dispatch notes indicated the van continued southbound and was believed to have passenger-side damage. At 8:29 a.m., the report was upgraded from a hit-and-run with no injuries to a hit-and-run with injuries.
