Chula Vista, CA (January 30, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles Friday morning on westbound SR-60 just west of Phillips Ranch Rd in Pomona. The crash led to significant lane blockages and prompted an immediate response from area emergency crews.
The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. and involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle, a maroon Hyundai Sonata, and a white GMC. Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol indicate that the motorcycle and passenger vehicles collided in the carpool and left lanes, leaving the motorcycle rider down and blocking traffic in the HOV and #1 lanes.
Responding paramedics provided treatment to the injured motorcyclist at the scene. While full injury details have not been disclosed, the rider was reported to have sustained a variety of injuries due to the impact and fall. Emergency crews worked quickly to stabilize the scene while also coordinating with towing services for vehicle removal.
Quik Tow LLC was called to the scene with a flatbed truck to remove the damaged motorcycle, which sustained front-end damage during the incident. The collision led to traffic congestion along the westbound 60 as officials held multiple lanes during the cleanup and investigation.
Authorities are still working to determine the sequence of events that led to the crash and whether unsafe lane changes or speed may have been contributing factors. Witness statements and additional evidence are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured rider, and we wish them a full and swift recovery.
