Ione, CA (July 9, 2026) – A three-vehicle traffic collision with reported injuries occurred on Thursday morning at the intersection of State Route 88 and State Route 104 near Ione.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log, the collision was reported at approximately 9:44 a.m. and involved a silver Toyota RAV4, a white Toyota Prius, and a white Ford work truck. The driver of the Toyota RAV4 was reported to be 25 weeks pregnant, and the caller advised that the vehicle’s airbag struck her stomach during the collision.
Emergency units were dispatched to the intersection after the crash was upgraded from an unknown-injury report to an injury collision. A silver Toyota RAV4 sustained major front-end damage and was blocking the westbound lanes, prompting tow requests for the disabled vehicles. Medical assistance was also requested for those involved.
