How Fleeing Vehicle Crashes Often Escalate Quickly
When a driver flees a traffic stop, the risk of a serious crash can increase significantly. High speeds, abrupt turns, and unpredictable driving often reduce other motorists’ reaction time.
Intersections are especially dangerous in these situations because they involve crossing traffic patterns and multiple points of conflict. Even brief attempts to evade law enforcement can lead to collisions with other vehicles that have little time to react. These incidents are typically reviewed closely to understand how the sequence of events unfolded.
