Reno, NV (May 16, 2026) – A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a semi-truck on Friday afternoon on Wells Ave near Claremont St in Reno.
The crash was reported at about 2:42 p.m. on May 15. According to officials, the pedestrian was hit by a semi-truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The police said the truck driver remained at the location and cooperated with the investigation. Preliminary information indicated that impairment did not appear to be a factor in the incident.
Traffic in both directions on Wells Ave was shut down between Burns St and Vassar St while emergency units worked at the scene and investigators gathered information. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
