Roscommon, MI (April 27, 2026) – A young boy was hurt on Sunday evening, April 26, after being struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle in the Village of Roscommon. The incident happened around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Street and Fourth Street.
Emergency units arrived and found a 6-year-old boy with head injuries. Investigators believe the child was crossing Lake Street on his bicycle when he was hit by the truck. The vehicle was driven by a 65-year-old woman, who remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
The boy received initial treatment at the scene before being taken to a nearby landing zone. He was then flown by helicopter to a hospital in Grand Rapids for further care, where he remains under medical supervision.
