Understanding Intersection Collisions and Right-of-Way
Intersection crashes often result from misjudging gaps, failing to yield, or attempting turns when visibility is limited. Turning vehicles that enter active lanes of travel may be struck by oncoming traffic, sometimes with fatal consequences.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution at intersections, obey traffic signals, and double-check for oncoming vehicles to reduce the risk of accidents. Even small miscalculations can have severe consequences, emphasizing the importance of defensive driving and awareness at all times.
