What Factors Are Often Considered in Early Morning Pedestrian Crashes
Pedestrian crashes during early morning hours can involve reduced visibility and lighter traffic patterns. Darkness or low light may make it harder for drivers to see someone in the roadway.
Investigators often review lighting conditions, vehicle speed, and where the pedestrian was located at the time of impact. Road design, including the presence of crosswalks or signals, may also be examined.
Temporary road closures are common after fatal collisions. These closures allow crews to document the scene and gather information before reopening the roadway to traffic.
