Sacramento, CA (January 30, 2026) – A man in his seventies sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Mack Rd and Valley High Dr, according to dispatch audio from Sacramento County emergency services.
The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on January 29 and was classified as a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision requiring medical response. Responding officers and paramedics arrived shortly after the call to find the pedestrian down and in need of treatment.
Preliminary reports indicated the involved vehicle was a gray SUV. The man was attended to by medics on scene and later transported to a local hospital for further care. The extent of his injuries has not yet been made public.
Authorities temporarily monitored traffic around the intersection while investigating the crash and assisting the injured pedestrian. Additional information regarding the cause of the incident has not been released.
