What Risks Construction Zones Can Present to Motorcyclists
Construction zones can create hazards for motorcyclists due to changing road conditions. Temporary signs, barriers, and uneven surfaces may appear suddenly, requiring quick reactions.
Reduced lighting in the early morning can make these obstacles harder to see. Motorcycles, which rely heavily on balance and stability, may be more affected by sudden maneuvers or impacts.
Lane shifts and narrowed roadways can also limit space for safe navigation. When riders encounter unexpected objects or changes in the road, the risk of losing control increases, especially at higher speeds.
