Emergency units responded to the scene after the collision was reported on Tuesday, May 5. The right lane of the express lanes was initially blocked, and officials later shut down all northbound express lanes during the response and cleanup.
Traffic was heavily affected while crews worked at the scene. The express lanes were reopened to drivers just before 4:30 p.m., allowing traffic to move again through the area.
