Spokane, WA (January 24, 2026) – A pedestrian suffered a head injury in a hit-and-run collision on January 23 near the intersection of N Newport Hwy and the Home Depot entrance. The vehicle involved reportedly fled the scene immediately after striking the victim.
The injured male was able to walk into the Home Depot following the collision, where employees assisted him until emergency medical services arrived. First responders treated the man for bleeding and trauma consistent with a head injury before arranging transport for further care.
The circumstances of the incident are still being reviewed, and authorities are actively searching for the driver who left the scene. No vehicle description has been officially released at this time.
