Sumter County, FL (January 10, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 resulted in one person being injured on January 9 near the intersection with E County Rd 462 in Sumter County, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred along the northbound lanes of I-75 and led to one of the involved vehicles overturning. Emergency crews, including a medical helicopter, responded to the scene to assist the injured. The individual sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and received care at the scene before being transported for further evaluation.
Despite the severity of the crash and the rollover, troopers confirmed that there was no roadblock caused by the incident. The roadway remained open as officials worked quickly to manage the scene and ensure traffic continued to flow.
