Carter County, OK (June 19, 2026) – A 16-year-old boy from Lone Grove lost his life on Wednesday following a three-vehicle collision involving two ATVs and a Jeep Wrangler in Carter County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly after noon on Wednesday, June 17, along Timber Road. Investigators said two ATVs were traveling east when a westbound Jeep Wrangler approached.
Troopers reported that the first ATV slowed down as the Jeep neared. The second ATV then struck the rear of the first ATV. The crash involved both ATVs and the Jeep, according to the preliminary information released.
The 16-year-old rider died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. Additional details regarding the other people involved and whether anyone else was hurt were not immediately available.
