Gloucester, VA (July 8, 2026) – A 14-year-old boy was killed, and a 16-year-old was critically injured in a minibike crash on Ambrose Road near Michael Lane in Gloucester County on Monday night, July 6.
The Virginia State Police said the 14-year-old was riding as a passenger on a minibike operated by a 16-year-old when the crash occurred. According to investigators, the minibike struck a mailbox pole, causing the front suspension to fail. The impact threw the boy from the minibike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16-year-old driver suffered critical injuries.
Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
