Fatal Motorcycle Crashes Involving Larger Vehicles
Motorcycle crashes involving larger vehicles, including buses and commercial vehicles, often result in catastrophic injuries due to the limited protection available to riders. Intersections can be especially dangerous locations for these types of collisions because of crossing traffic and visibility challenges.
Drivers are encouraged to remain alert for motorcycles, particularly when approaching intersections or changing direction on rural highways and county roads. Riders are also reminded to use caution and remain visible to surrounding traffic whenever possible.
