Albemarle County, VA (May 16, 2026) – Authorities in Albemarle County are investigating two separate fatal crashes that occurred Thursday, according to the Albemarle County Police Department.
Officials said the first collision was reported around 2:35 p.m. in the 7500 block of Scottsville Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash.
Police also reported a second fatal crash occurred elsewhere in the county later the same day. Additional information regarding the circumstances of either collision, including the identities of those involved, has not yet been released.
