Tractor-Trailer Crashes on Interstate Highways
Crashes involving tractor-trailers on major interstate highways can quickly become dangerous due to the size and weight of commercial vehicles. Secondary hazards, including fires, overturned trailers, and debris, may create additional risks for motorists and emergency crews responding to the scene.
Drivers are reminded to remain cautious near stopped vehicles on highway shoulders and to move over whenever possible for disabled vehicles and emergency responders. Maintaining safe speeds and staying alert to roadway conditions can help reduce the likelihood of serious interstate collisions.
