Toledo, OH (January 8, 2026) – A 65-year-old man was injured on Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision near the Toledo Hospital campus. The crash occurred around 4:09 p.m. along N Cove Blvd near the entrance to the hospital at 2142 N Cove Blvd in Toledo.
Reports indicate the male driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Lyons Fire crews were already en route when the call came through and arrived shortly after to provide care. The involved vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage, and all airbags deployed during the crash.
The man was transported to Toledo Hospital with visible bruising to the abdomen and a deformity to his right large toe. Despite the injuries, he was alert, oriented, and reported as stable during transit. Paramedics noted normal vital signs and oxygen levels upon arrival.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any other vehicles or individuals were involved. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
