Why Are Motorcycle Crashes at Intersections So Dangerous?
Motorcycle crashes at intersections are often severe due to the limited protection riders have compared to those in enclosed vehicles.
Failure to yield or stop at traffic signs is a common cause of these incidents. When larger vehicles enter an intersection unexpectedly, motorcyclists have very little time to react or avoid a collision.
Even at moderate speeds, the impact can result in life-threatening injuries or fatalities for riders.
Drivers are urged to remain attentive, obey traffic controls, and carefully check for motorcycles before entering intersections.
