Officials also confirmed that three animals died in the fire. Crews worked for nearly an hour to bring the flames under control before fully extinguishing the home.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with those injured as they receive medical care, and with everyone affected by this tragedy.
What Factors Are Typically Reviewed After a Residential Fire?
After a residential fire, investigators usually examine how the fire started, how quickly it spread, and what materials were involved. These early assessments often rely on burn patterns, structural damage, and reports from first responders who arrived at the scene.
Access to the home’s interior and the extent of damage can influence how quickly a full determination is made. Electrical systems, appliances, heating sources, and cooking areas are commonly reviewed as potential points of origin.
Medical information about those injured may also help clarify the severity of smoke exposure or burns. As more evidence is collected, investigators can develop a clearer understanding of how the fire developed and whether any safety issues contributed to its spread.
