Johnson County, MO (July 16, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, July 14, at the intersection of 13 Highway and JJ Highway in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2021 Jeep Gladiator entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound 2015 Toyota Corolla. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the roadway.
The 49-year-old driver of the Toyota, from Knob Noster, received moderate injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center. The 51-year-old driver of the Jeep, from Independence, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene before being released. No additional information about the drivers was made public.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation as officials continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
