Why Right-of-Way Rules Are Important for E-Bike Riders?
E-bikes have become increasingly common on local roads and neighborhood streets, offering riders a convenient form of transportation. Because they can travel at higher speeds than traditional bicycles, riders must remain aware of traffic laws and right-of-way requirements when approaching intersections and crossing points.
Many collisions involving bicycles and e-bikes occur when one party enters an intersection without yielding to approaching traffic. In these situations, investigators review vehicle movements, roadway markings, visibility, and witness statements to determine how the crash occurred.
Even relatively low-speed collisions can result in injuries for e-bike riders due to their limited physical protection. As a result, safety officials frequently encourage riders to remain attentive at intersections, obey traffic controls, and watch for approaching vehicles. These measures can help reduce the risk of injury and improve safety for everyone sharing the roadway.
