Why Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crashes Often Result in Fatal Outcomes
Motorcycle crashes involving larger vehicles often lead to severe injuries due to the lack of structural protection for riders. Unlike enclosed vehicles, motorcycles offer little shielding during a collision.
Impact forces in these crashes can be significantly higher when a motorcycle and a truck are involved. Differences in size and weight often contribute to more serious outcomes.
Intersections like rural highway crossings can also increase risk, especially when vehicles enter or cross paths at higher speeds with limited reaction time.
